Nathan Makelainen

Director | Specialist Support Coordinator | Home and Living Navigator

With a strong background in behavioural science and data analytics, Nathan specialises in complex case management, including hospital discharge, prison rehabilitation, homelessness, and challenging family dynamics. His work focuses on helping NDIS participants maximise outcomes from their plans through personalised support and multidisciplinary coordination.

Nathan is committed to social justice, inclusivity, and upholding high ethical standards. His substantial experience in NDIS operations, policy interpretation, and ethical leadership make him a driving force behind Incite.

Recognising the complexity of the support coordination role and tired of seeing the negative impact substandard NDIS providers can have on the lives of participants, Nathan has been committed to building a team of people with ethics, experience, and expertise at Incite.

Nathan is committed to ensuring every decision, policy, and action aligns with Incite’s foundational values of transformative justice and person-centric support. His passion for breaking down systemic barriers and driving ethical reform in the disability sector informs every aspect of his practice.

Nathan’s ability to convert complex policies into tangible impact has changed the lives of people living with disabilities. His skills in complex case management and extracting optimal results from participants’ funding make him an invaluable asset to both the Incite team and our participants. Nathan’s directive influence ensures Incite doesn’t just follow the system; we reshape it for the better.
